We prefer to use Rosetta Stone products for foreign language tracks. We encourage three to five 20-30 minute sessions each week. It’s a good idea to add literature, music, film, art, and poetry in small, digestible amounts to enrich the student’s understanding of the language and the culture from which it comes. Students should be encouraged to converse in his/her chosen language with the rest of the family. It’s fun for everyone and makes for better retention.
We recommend choosing from German or Spanish Level One for Grade 9. If your student already has one or both of these languages to his/her credit, choose any other language of interest.
