Grade Four – History

This year, students will work on orienting themselves in time and space.  This is accomplished through the study of local history and local geography.  Resources will vary depending upon your location.  Your local library is an excellent place to begin searching for resources, as is your local historical society.  The first week of local history can include creation myths of the native/indigenous peoples in your area, if they are available.  From there, branch out to recorded history and work your way forward.
